this restaurant, right on Friedrichstrasse, and were delighted with the results! The Apple Strudel was fabulous (we split it) and the wine very good (I think we chose the house). The waitress was very welcoming, chatting with me in 'American' and my wife in German. REALLY enjoyed this little place, even though just for dessert. If we'd had more time, we'd have returned another evening to try the dinner!

busy and i was lucky to get a table. I chose from the advent menu and had a sohp and a goose dish. My first dumplings and they were yummy. Both were hot and excellently tasty. Great portions. Could not decide on wine so went with house red which was drinkable. Service was fine. The one reason i did not give 5 stars was the toilet smelt horrid. It was clean just an essential place to visit and not pleasant. I would certainly say visit as the food is wonderful.

the atmosphere of the place elevates it to a 4 star review. The staff were welcoming, attentive and friendly. The ambience is refreshing after a few days of other restaurants, with no pretentions - this is a neighbourhood bistro and is all the better for it. It was nice just to have a quiet meal in comfortable surroundings. The place wasn't heaving, so there was no rush to finish and vacate the table. All in all, a really pleasurable experience.

fabulous meal including starters (potato soup was amazing, not creamy but more rustic with yummy bacon chunks and baguette on the side), our main courses which were huge (the trout was the most loved in our group), and desserts we barely had room for but were really glad we attempted (the apfelstrudel was yummy and authentic)... Overall a very pleasant dining experiance in a town that isn't known for friendly service. And for 3 people to have more food than we could eat and a few drinks it totaled only 80 euro, in the states it would be hard to get drinks and a great meal for 2 people on that budget! So happy to have chosen a great spot!!!
